Spring Hill Packers and Logistics has been independently assessed by SWIS Certification and found compliant with ISO 9001:2015 for the provision of packers and movers services. The certificate is issued to our head office and warehouse at Maa Apartment, Shop No. 5, Himnagar, Dankuni NL — Water Tank, PIN 712311, and is subject to annual surveillance audits (first due 31 July 2027, second 31 July 2028). Our Udyam registration confirms Spring Hill as a formally recognised MSME operating out of Rishra, Hooghly. It is the registration most corporate vendor-onboarding portals check before empanelling a moving company.

Why the paperwork matters more than the promise

Anyone can print a leaflet that says 'insured and trusted'. The difference between a licensed moving company and a broker with a phone number is whether the documents exist in the company's own name — GST, MSME registration, a licensed place of business, and an insurance policy that names the consignment being carried.

Spring Hill has operated from the same Hooghly address since the business was formalised, and every invoice we raise carries our GST details. If your employer reimburses relocation costs, that single fact is usually the difference between a claim being settled and rejected.

How transit insurance actually works on your move

Transit cover is issued against a declared value, not a guess. Before pickup we agree an inventory and a declared value with you, the policy is arranged on that basis, and the premium is shown as a separate line on your quotation rather than buried in the total.

During the move our supervisor records a condition sheet and photographs at both ends. If a claim ever has to be filed, that documentation is what makes it straightforward — insurers settle on evidence, not on recollection.

Vehicles, permits and the people on your doorstep

Long-haul consignments leave Kolkata on national-permit goods carriers with valid fitness, pollution and driver documentation. Local moves within the Howrah, Hooghly and Kolkata belts run on our own closed-body vehicles.

Crew members who enter your home are on our rolls, carry identification and are supervised by a named site lead whose number you receive before packing day.
