Spring Hill Packers and Logistics was founded by Sanjay Shaw, who built the business out of Morepukur, Rishra, in Hooghly — one truck, one crew and a refusal to hand a customer's move to a stranger.

Sanjay Shaw runs Spring Hill Packers and Logistics from its Hooghly base and is still the person most customers speak to before a survey is scheduled. His working rule has not changed since the first truck: the crew that quotes a job is the crew that packs it, and the supervisor who signs the inventory is answerable for what comes off the truck at the other end. The beginning
The business started in a small office in Morepukur, Rishra, serving families moving within the Hooghly–Howrah–Kolkata belt. Word of mouth in those neighbourhoods — a flat in Uttarpara, a shop in Salkia, a bungalow in Konnagar — is what grew the route map outward into the rest of West Bengal and then across India.
The philosophy
Moving day is one of the most stressful days in a household's year. The whole company is organised around removing that stress: a physical survey before the quote, a written itemised price, room-coded cartons, a named supervisor, and a phone that gets answered when a family calls to ask where their truck is.
Where we're headed
The next phase is depth rather than noise — a larger warehouse footprint around Dankuni and Kolkata, dedicated corporate move desks for the IT and healthcare employers hiring in New Town, and tighter transit windows on the Kolkata–Bengaluru, Kolkata–Delhi and Kolkata–Mumbai corridors we already run every week.
